Privacy Policy

We do not collect, store or share any personal data about you. The App has no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. Everything you configure stays on your device.

No personal data. The App has no accounts or sign-in and never asks for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos or location. We operate no system that receives personal information from the App.

No advertising or analytics. The App contains no advertising SDK and no analytics SDK. It does not read or use the Android advertising ID.

The following is saved only in the App’s private storage on your device. It is never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and it is deleted when you clear the App’s data or uninstall it:

• your chosen pricing currency (OMR, USD or EUR);
• your chosen weight unit for gold and for silver;
• any price alerts you create — the metal, purity, weight, currency and threshold price you entered.

Price alerts are evaluated entirely on your device. Your alert thresholds are never sent to our servers or to any third party.

To display live prices, the App requests market data over an encrypted HTTPS connection from our price service at gold-live.digitalsoftware.co. These requests contain no information about you or your device beyond what any internet connection necessarily involves — as with any website or app, our service and our hosting provider receive the network (IP) address the request came from, which is used only to deliver the response and to keep the service secure and available. We do not use it to build a profile of you, and we do not link it to any identity.

The App sends us no other information. It does not report your settings, your alerts, or how you use the App.

If you create a price alert, the App asks for permission to show notifications. Alerts are generated locally on your device by comparing the current market price against the threshold you set. There is no push-messaging service, and no notification content is sent from our servers. You can revoke notification permission at any time in your device settings.

• Internet and network state — to fetch live prices, and to skip background checks when you are offline.
• Notifications — to deliver the price alerts you create. Only requested if you use alerts.
• Run at startup — so a price alert you enabled keeps working after your device restarts.

Standard Android libraries used by the App may also declare supporting permissions (for example wake lock and vibrate) so that scheduled background checks and notifications work. The App requests no location, camera, microphone, contacts or storage permissions.

The App is a general market-information tool intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

We do not sell your data. We do not share personal data with third parties, because the App does not collect any. As we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to retain or to delete on request. Data stored on your device is under your control and is removed when you clear the App’s data or uninstall it.

Prices shown in the App are indicative spot rates provided for general information. They are not a dealing quote, not an offer to buy or sell, and not financial advice. Always confirm rates with your dealer before transacting.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above and post the new version at this address.
