This week, NocoBase continues its commitment to innovation and stability with significant updates across its main
and develop
branches. NocoBase offers a flexible, open-source no-code platform designed for total control and infinite scalability. Our three distinct development branches ensure users can choose the version that best suits their needs: main
for stability, next
for beta features, and develop
for the latest cutting-edge advancements.
Main Branch Updates (v1.8.25 & v1.8.24)
The main
branch, our most stable and recommended version, received several key updates to enhance user experience and system reliability.
v1.8.25 (Released 2025-09-17)
- Improvements: Usernames now support the ‘.’ character, providing more flexibility in authentication.
- Bug Fixes: Resolved an issue where button icon configuration popups were being overlapped and added support for the `chinaRegions` field in Template Print functionality.
v1.8.24 (Released 2025-09-13)
- New Features: The Workflow Approval process now allows returning to any node, offering greater flexibility in approval flows.
- Improvements: Enhanced server-side message queue logging with a standard system logger and optimized workflow preparation for preloaded node data. The file list received a UI refinement by removing the ellipsis popover, and the Theme Editor now supports side menu color customization.
- Bug Fixes: Addressed multiple client-side issues, including overlapping Popover components, incorrect ‘not empty’ checks for numeric fields in linkage rules, and public forms showing editable select/multiselect/date/richtext fields when they should be read-only. Workflow log caching errors were fixed, and support for native URLSearchParams type in HTTP request encryption was improved. REST API URL validation rules were also corrected, along with a translation issue in approval completion notifications.
Develop Branch Updates (v1.9.0-alpha.15)
For those who embrace the bleeding edge, the develop
branch, our alpha version, introduces new features and critical fixes, aimed at rapid iteration and future improvements.
v1.9.0-alpha.15 (Released 2025-09-17)
- Improvements: Similar to the `main` branch, usernames now support the ‘.’ character. Server message queue logging has been standardized, and system tables with auto-increment primary keys without unique identifiers now utilize 53-bit Snowflake-like IDs for better scaling. Calendar headers now support locale mapping display, and the Workflow’s Manual node allows viewing and resuming pending tasks in disabled workflows. Theme Editor also gains side menu color customization.
- Bug Fixes: Various client-side issues were resolved, including overlapping button icon configuration and Popover components, and readonly fields appearing editable on public forms. Workflow errors related to incorrect subscription logic and log caching were fixed. Issues with incorrect notification link parsing in In-app messages, REST API URL validation, HTTP request encryption parameters, and Template Print for `chinaRegions` were addressed. An issue with garbage subjects in the Email manager was also corrected.
Conclusion
These ongoing updates reflect NocoBase’s dedication to providing a robust, feature-rich, and stable platform for its users. Stay tuned for more enhancements as NocoBase continues to evolve.
