From Concept to Code: My First Vertical Slice Complete!

What a journey it’s been! After just two intensive days of coding, I’m incredibly proud to announce the successful completion of the vertical slice for my inaugural game prototype. This wasn’t merely a development task; it was a profound learning experience that pushed me to new limits.

The path was, predictably, littered with bugs and errors. Yet, each obstacle became an opportunity to learn, honing my troubleshooting skills on common culprits like misconfigured file paths and incompatible asset types. Witnessing the core gameplay loop come alive—from fluid character movement and crucial item collection to the seamless game over and restart mechanics—was a truly exhilarating and deeply satisfying moment.

This initial triumph has underscored the immense value of perseverance and a robust grasp of project workflow when building any creation from scratch. I’m energized and eager to carry these newfound skills and this unwavering determination forward into every future project.
