Japanese Breakfast brought their unique sound to the KEXP studio on July 19, 2025, for a captivating live rendition of their track, “Mega Circuit.” Frontwoman Michelle Zauner captivated the audience with her powerful vocals and guitar, supported by an equally talented ensemble. Peter Bradley contributed on guitar and keys, Deven Craige held down the bass, and Craig provided rhythm on drums, keys, and vocals. The performance was further enriched by Lauren Elizabeth Baba on violin, keys, and vocals, and Adam Schatz on saxophone and keys, creating a dynamic and full sound.

The session, hosted by the energetic Cheryl Waters, was a testament to the band’s live prowess. Behind the scenes, a dedicated team ensured the performance was captured flawlessly. Audio engineers Jon Roberts, Kevin Suggs, Harry Fore, and Starr McLaughlin meticulously mixed and mastered the session, while a five-camera crew, including Jim Beckmann, Carlos Cruz, Scott Holpainen, Jonathan Jacobson, and Ettie Wahl, filmed every moment. The visual spectacle was expertly edited by Scott Holpainen.
